Oh boy! | Vista Newborn Photographer

I finally made it down to Vista to see Nicole and meet her brand new baby boy (almost brand new-- he's just about four weeks old now).  He didn't want anything to do with having his photo taken, but we managed to get some good shots anyhow.  So here he is, the newest member of the ever-growing Q familia!  Isn't he just the sweetest (and so long!)??

Holiday Mini Sessions Announced | Temecula Photographer

Fall is nearly upon us!  That means it's time to update your family portraits and send out cute holiday cards and letters.  And Holiday Mini Sessions are here to help!

These sessions are shorter than regular shoots, but come with a smaller price and lots of goodies!

They're being offered between September 18th-30th. You pick your day and time, and I will provide the location (outdoor, within the Temecula Valley area).  Send an email with your request!  A $25 deposit will be required to hold your spot (balance due at time of session).

Almost One! | Winchester Baby Photographer

Ahh, bitter sweet is the taste!  My baby boy is almost a year old!  Next month we will celebrate my son's first birthday and while excited, I'm in disbelief of how fast time is flying by.  It seems like only yesterday I watched Atticus' daddy give him his first bath (I was much too nervous to do it myself!).  And here he is now, growing up into a little man.  I realized the other day that I haven't been capturing some of the simplest of experiences like bathtime.  I made sure to snap some shots while he played in the tub and I'm so glad I did.

Look at this sweetheart!  So long as he keeps growing up, he's going to break my heart everyday for the rest of my life!

Adventures in New England | Temecula Photographer

Over Labor Day weekend I ventured off to Boston for a baby shower.  Sure, that's a long way to travel for a party, but the trip's purpose was to see a dear friend who moved away more than two years ago.  Since then he's gotten married to a beautiful woman and they are now expecting a baby boy in December.  I am so happy for William and Liz.  They are going to be amazing parents and I can't wait to meet their perfect little boy!

During my little vacation I took advantage of some alone time to explore the sights and sounds of Boston and the surrounding areas.

Last week my baby brother graduated from high school!  Words cannot express just how proud I am of him.  I admit, I cried during the ceremony.  But I had to wipe the tears away quickly because I couldn't see as I was snapping away!

Seana and I had been planning this photo shoot for quite some time and finally got our schedules in line this past weekend.  I am so glad we got together because this session was a BLAST!  Seana is such a good sport and can we say HOT?!  Even with the theme "White Trash Glam" she managed to still look smokin'.  She has a perfect runway body and AMAZING cheekbones.  America's Next Top Model, perhaps?  :)

The location for this shoot is where Seana boards two of her horses.  We worked them into a few shots and you can really see how much she loves those guys.

What a week it has been!  Baby has had the stomach flu for 7 days now, and somewhere in there I got the bug, too.  Needless to say, it's been miserable on our end.  Today things started looking up.  Baby is eating more and not so sluggish.  His spirits were so dramatically improved that I decided to finally set up an abbreviated version of my home studio in the dining room.  I left the Alien Bee in the garage and used a simple configuration consisting of my speedlight with an umbrella and a 42" reflector.

Almost ready to pop! | San Diego, CA Baby Shower Photographer

Last weekend I had the honor of photographing Adriane's baby shower in Santee.  There were lots of guests, gifts, and yummy food.  I loved that all the elements of the party were coordinated-- from the white and purple cake and cupcakes, to the streamers and plates-- and even Adriane's dress!  She did a great job with the party.  And even though I know she had planned to throw a "non-baby shower", it turned out to be a pretty cute traditional shower with fun games and girly decorations.  I especially loved that her son wasn't left out of all the fun.  He had his own baseball shaped cake and received a big brother gift from mom and dad.

Congrats, Adriane and family!  I can't wait for your baby girl's newborn session in September :)

A couple weeks back I had some willing bodies to help me with some boudoir photos.  These ladies are gorgeous.  And I'm not just saying that because they're my best friend and my cousin...hehe. I had a blast with this photo shoot and would love to do more in the future if anyone is interested.  These were done on location, so keep in mind that if you want to book a session like this, you'll need a bedroom with good natural light.
