I feel like it's been forever since I posted!  As you may have noticed, I ditched the Project 365.  I knew it'd end up this way.  Unfortunately, our move into a new house got the better of me and I couldn't manage the time well enough to make room for photography every day.  Shame on me.

But I am here to share some shots of my little man from today.  These were taken with natural light in our new living room.  The lighting is so amazing.  I can't believe it took me 10 days to realize this!  I also used my barnwood flooring as a backdrop for the first time, which worked out nicely.  Overall, I'm very excited about my little experiment today.  And how adorable is my baby boy?  He's growing way too quickly!  The only upside to this is that he seems to get cuter and cuter every day :)

p.s. These photos have not been color corrected.  The light in my living room is that awesome!

Day 2 | Project 365 | Alicia Q. Photography

The holidays are over sooner than they arrived.  Here's our itty-bitty tree that will serve as a prop for Christmas mini-sessions 2011.  I sure will miss all the holiday light bokeh until then.

Family Photo Fun | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography

Just before Christmas I had a session with an extended family of 14-- my biggest group yet!  Unfortunately Southern California was being pounded with 6 days of non-stop rain.  We moved the photos indoors, but luckily this family had a beautiful Victorian parlor.  I felt like I was thrown back in time!  The furniture and decor was just lovely.

Here are a couple shots of some of the pretty-- and handsome!-- faces I had the pleasure of photographing that day.

Enjoy!

8 day old princess | Temecula Newborn Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography

Meet 8 day old Rylee.  I couldn't have asked for a sweeter, cuter little girl to photograph.  She slept for the first half of the session and then decided she'd rather be wide awake.  Either way, she was a complete doll.  Mom and Dad are definitely smitten with her.  And how could you not?  Isn't she beautiful!

Congrats, Dave and Cheryl!

My Family | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography

The blog is looking a little neglected, so I thought I'd share a few Christmas photos of my family.  The littlest boy is my son and the others are my brother's beautiful children.  I know I'm biased, but these are the cutest kids on earth!  Don't you agree?  :)

Happy Holidays from my family to yours.

xoxo,
Alicia Q.

Family Photos in Poway | San Diego Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography

I really have the best job in the world.  I get to meet great families and spend time outdoors chatting and getting to know new people.  This session was a perfect example of why I love what I do.

What a great family.  I had so much fun with them!  And little "K" is so sweet!  I just melted when he got low down to the cement to inspect a tiny little spider.  He watched it for a couple of minutes while I snapped away.  Awww, aren't little boys the best?!

"T" family, I hope you enjoy these peeks at our day together at the lake.  Congrats on the beautiful family you're building :)

A boy and his Dad | San Diego Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography

Yesterday I had a very special session down in San Diego with Matt and his son.  I had never met the two before and I must say I had an amazing time getting to know them.  Matt was in town from Florida visiting little "G" and it was awesome watching the two interract.  They don't see each other often and it really meant a lot to capture this day in photos.  "G" is a perfect 6 year old boy-- smart, energetic, funny, outgoing and so sweet.  I could tell dad is very proud of his son and that's expected.  Afterall, it's not everyday you meet a 6-year old who busts out push-ups in the middle of a session in Balboa Park!  He cracked me up with that one, lol.  Oh.  And he wants to be a U.S. Marine, too, when he grows up.  I could have spent the whole day photographing this pair!

Here is a sneak peek at their session.  Let me tell you-- I had a hard time deciding which ones to show!  Enjoy!

Holiday Mini-Session | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography

Have I mentioned before how much I love small family sessions?  Families of three are so sweet.  Mom and dad are usually new parents and they are so enamored with their baby.  This family was no different.  Baby A is certainly their little princess, or "monkey" as dad called her :)

Here's a look at their holiday mini-session from yesterday.  And yes, I also have a special place in my heart for military families.  Love 'em!

I had a hard time narrowing these down, so here's a large share.  Enjoy!

Waiting on Rylee | Temecula Maternity Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography

I'm always amazed when I meet pregnant women who are so happy and glowing.  Let me tell you-- at 37 weeks pregnant, that was NOT me.  I was a mess, in pain, and cranky.  And then there's Cheryl, who looks great and is as chipper as can be.  If she's not genuinenly feeling good, then she's a heck of an actress!  I might add, however, that due to swelling she can't fit her wedding ring anymore!  OK, so there, she isn't perfect.  :)

I met her and husband Dave at one of my favorite locations in Temecula and despite a sprinkler scare, we had a fun time laughing and joking.  They were up for my corny and silly posing ideas and weren't too shy to let me know in a sarcastic tone that, "Yeaaah, this is a great idea, Alicia."  Haha.  Thanks  Dave and Cheryl!  I had so much fun with you guys!  I can't wait to meet little Rylee!  Congrats!

Here's a preview of your gallery that is soon to come!  Enjoy!

One of my corny ideas.  Hey-- Cheryl is a teacher.  So see.  It makes total sense :)

Is this one too corny?  Haha.  Merry Christmas from Dave, Cheryl and Rylee!
