I feel like it's been forever since I posted! As you may have noticed, I ditched the Project 365. I knew it'd end up this way. Unfortunately, our move into a new house got the better of me and I couldn't manage the time well enough to make room for photography every day. Shame on me.
But I am here to share some shots of my little man from today. These were taken with natural light in our new living room. The lighting is so amazing. I can't believe it took me 10 days to realize this! I also used my barnwood flooring as a backdrop for the first time, which worked out nicely. Overall, I'm very excited about my little experiment today. And how adorable is my baby boy? He's growing way too quickly! The only upside to this is that he seems to get cuter and cuter every day :)
p.s. These photos have not been color corrected. The light in my living room is that awesome!

Day 5 | Project 365 | Alicia Q. Photography
Today I let Atticus have at it with a bowl of Multi Grain Cheerios. I love these photos, although he wouldn't look at me very often, and when he did, he gave me his "Really? More pictures, mom?" look. Poor kid. I torture him with this camera. But that's why I let him get "messy" today and have fun with our little photo shoot.
Oh. And if you're wondering about the soy milk-- Atticus has a milk allergy and has been on soy since about 8 weeks old. He loves the stuff :)
1/5/2011 - sharing more than just one photo today, I hope no one minds!

Day 1 | Project 365 | Alicia Q. Photography
One of my goals for the new year is to complete a Project 365. I'm committing to taking a photo and posting it to this blog every day of 2011. There's no theme, really-- just the world through my eyes, I suppose.
Day 1 - 1/1/2011. Atticus sitting on his ATV ride along watching the Winter Classic on TV.

Family Photo Fun | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography
Just before Christmas I had a session with an extended family of 14-- my biggest group yet! Unfortunately Southern California was being pounded with 6 days of non-stop rain. We moved the photos indoors, but luckily this family had a beautiful Victorian parlor. I felt like I was thrown back in time! The furniture and decor was just lovely.
Here are a couple shots of some of the pretty-- and handsome!-- faces I had the pleasure of photographing that day.
Enjoy!

My Family | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography
The blog is looking a little neglected, so I thought I'd share a few Christmas photos of my family. The littlest boy is my son and the others are my brother's beautiful children. I know I'm biased, but these are the cutest kids on earth! Don't you agree? :)
Happy Holidays from my family to yours.

Holiday Mini-Session | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography
Have I mentioned before how much I love small family sessions? Families of three are so sweet. Mom and dad are usually new parents and they are so enamored with their baby. This family was no different. Baby A is certainly their little princess, or "monkey" as dad called her :)
Here's a look at their holiday mini-session from yesterday. And yes, I also have a special place in my heart for military families. Love 'em!
I had a hard time narrowing these down, so here's a large share. Enjoy!

So Much Love | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography
The love you have for your children can't be measured. It's all-consuming and overwhelming. I could see that love pouring out of this sweet family. I realized three things during this session. One, this little boy is very lucky. His parents are over-the-moon smitten with him. Two, mom has amazing skin (so jealous). And three, my son has a challenger in the "cutest boy in the world" competition. I can't say enough about how awesome this family was. I feel lucky to have met little M and can see why he means the world and more to mom and dad.
I hope others can see and feel the love from these photos. Enjoy!

Brothers | Temecula Child Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography
Time to share another holiday mini-session!
How handsome are these brothers? Don't they look just like Precious Moments dolls with those perfect little noses and big round eyes? Too bad G and A didn't have the same angelic impression of me. They told me I was scary! Oh no! LOL. I'll just imagine they were afraid of the camera and not my face. Haha.
And now something far less frightening than the crazy camera lady-- sneak peek!

Little Women | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography
I truly have some of the cutest clients EVER. When I saw this family get out of the car wearing purple, I was so excited (jewel tones photograph beautifully). But when I saw these three little ladies skipping towards me, my heart just melted. They are perfection! And how amazig are their eyes?
Grandma was visiting from out of state and I think the girls were more interested in hugging and loving their "sovta" (Hebrew for grandmother) than they were taking photos. But you would have never guessed it! They had no problem pausing and striking a pose whenever I requested their attention :)
This family was an absolute joy and I'd love to photograph these precious little girls again and again. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

B Family: Holiday Mini-Session | Temecula Family Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography
Look who's on the blog again! Baby Jack! Mom and Dad came in for their family holiday portraits and it was sweet to finally get some shots of the whole gang. Aren't they just the cutest? I was so impressed that Dad swapped out his t-shirt and jeans for something more festive! I won't mention that he forgot shoes and wore white sneakers for the entire session :) I guess men do need detailed instructions even when it comes to putting on clothes. Ooops! Did I say that out loud?
In any case, they sure are a handsome bunch. Enjoy!

The Countdown to Santa Begins! | Temecula Child Photographer | Alicia Q. Photography
Here's a little sneak peek of a precious little girl who just cannot wait for Christmas. She was deathly afraid of having her photo taken at the beginning of the session, but when she realized there were "presents" to open, she was more than willing to smile and ham it up for the camera. Mom and I had to sneak some leftover Halloween candy into the empty boxes as the bows and lids went flying! Our stealthy tactics were a success!
Enjoy this preview!

See, I told you she's ready for Santa! By the way, only 45 days to go!
